I have even dabbled with using Canoma to try this.but the quality is pretty low and doesn't have enough mesh detail with it's shapes. So the lens data isn't included with the photos. I basically need to "unwrap" and lay out flat artwork from cylinderical objects that have been taken with a camera.sometimes digital, sometimes regular camera or scan etc. Seems photoshop would have something like this.but have found only using the CROP tool (Perspective mode) works with FLAT objects not 3D shapes. having a hard time finding a simple way to do it.so i use 3ds to do it.a lot of steps.but all I can find for now.and still very iffy.

Kind of the reverse of applying a wine label to a wine bottle that has been photographed at an angle.but instead extract that label from the wine bottle to where it comes out flat.

Mainly using the method to UNWRAP or UNFOLD artwork from a cylinderical shape. the UVW stuff isn't being reatined or locked to the texture? I must be using the channels thing wrong.
